Normally, I don't read/care to read the single mom/single dad trope, but I think at this point Morgan Elizabeth could write a romance novel about a woman and a patio umbrella and I'd swoon!A very easy feel good holiday novel! Ugh I love Morgan Elizabeth。 Every book by her is just SO GOOD。 Like I have never been disappointed by her books, and this holiday book was so DAMN GOOD。 It really made me excited for the holidays。A continuation of her holiday / T-swift series, we met Shea in book 1 of the series。 Shae is a single mom of 2 young girls, fleeing an abusive relationship and on her way to making her own magic。 Part of moving on means going on a date via tinder/bumble/whatever else there is, with a guy named Connor。 Ugh I love Morgan Elizabeth。 Every book by her is just SO GOOD。 Like I have never been disappointed by her books, and this holiday book was so DAMN GOOD。 It really made me excited for the holidays。A continuation of her holiday / T-swift series, we met Shea in book 1 of the series。 Shae is a single mom of 2 young girls, fleeing an abusive relationship and on her way to making her own magic。 Part of moving on means going on a date via tinder/bumble/whatever else there is, with a guy named Connor。 But right away Connor knows Shea is perfect for his dad, Nick。 he convinces her to come to Thanksgiving dinner at Nick's house and immediately Nick knows that Shea and the girls will be apart of his life one way or another。 And the entire month of December Nick spends everyday gaining the trust, respect and love of not just Shea but also her two girls。 Will it be enough for a Christmas Miracle? This is truly such a great holiday book, I cannot recommend it enough。 Morgan does a fantastic job with the characters, the girls are absolutely adorable。 And the way Nick is there for them all, how patient he is with Shea。。。a true dream MAN。 And I say man, because he is one。 He is also SO HOT in the bedroom, like made-me-blush hot。 Overall, a beautiful story of a single mom falling for the right man + him taking care of them properly + Christmas Cheer for everyone!5 /5 Stars & 2。5 /4 Steam!"To everyone who thought the fluffy Hallmark Christmas movies should be a bit dirtier。 Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal"This man - all cowboy and rough edges wrapped in cotton candy sweetness and silly Christmas cheer - is hard just from kissing me。 "She's waiting for me to be over this, waiting for me to get bored。 It's my job to show her I won't""Because whether it takes a week or a month or a year or a decade, I'm going to make Shae mine。 But I'm hoping a Christmas miracle will make that wait go quickly""I'd traipse around the entire world with you if you'd let me" 。。。more

I loved Tis the Season for Revenge so I was so excited to see Shane get a happy ending。A tinder date turned friend invites Shae and her 2 daughters to thanksgiving at his dad’s farm。 His dad, Nick falls instantly。 He accidentally mentions elf on a shelf which puts Shae on edge。 She’s overwhelmed and can’t handle more。 To apologize he comes the hour to their place every night to move the elf。 He’s sweet and patient like all of Morgan’s heroes。 There are some typos and grammatical issues。 But over I loved Tis the Season for Revenge so I was so excited to see Shane get a happy ending。A tinder date turned friend invites Shae and her 2 daughters to thanksgiving at his dad’s farm。 His dad, Nick falls instantly。 He accidentally mentions elf on a shelf which puts Shae on edge。 She’s overwhelmed and can’t handle more。 To apologize he comes the hour to their place every night to move the elf。 He’s sweet and patient like all of Morgan’s heroes。 There are some typos and grammatical issues。 But overall, a fun and spicy holiday read with no third act break up! 。。。more

I loved the premise of this newest book from Morgan Elizabeth, and love a Christmasy rom-com, but I feel like the execution fell a little flat for me。 Shae, who readers met in Elizabeth's Tis the Season for Revenge, has successfully left her emotionally and physically abusive ex and moved on with her life with her two daughters。 But she's struggling being a single mom and accepts a Thanksgiving invitation from her friend (who she went on ONE date with)。 There, his dad, Christmas tree farm owner I loved the premise of this newest book from Morgan Elizabeth, and love a Christmasy rom-com, but I feel like the execution fell a little flat for me。 Shae, who readers met in Elizabeth's Tis the Season for Revenge, has successfully left her emotionally and physically abusive ex and moved on with her life with her two daughters。 But she's struggling being a single mom and accepts a Thanksgiving invitation from her friend (who she went on ONE date with)。 There, his dad, Christmas tree farm owner Nick, brings up the dreaded Elf on the Shelf, a tradition Shae doesn't have the emotional or financial bandwidth for。 So Nick takes it on himself to make the girls' holiday season bright, acting as their secret elf and slowly trying to win over Shae in the process。 The good: - Shae's rebuilding after dv and her struggles as a single mom read really true and are well done。 I love seeing her bounce back and find her own voice- Morgan Elizabeth's men are OBSESSED with their FMC's, which is always great- NO third act breakup, which I appreciate more and moreThe meh: - this got a little repetitive for me。 It was a lot of "I don't want to relationship" "ok, i'll wait for you" "jk let's make out" and I feel like she didn't really explore the depths that these characters could haveOverall, it was fun and a quick read and I'm always going to read a Morgan Elizabeth book, but she's starting to feel a little one-note for me。 。。。more
